Interested in Joining the Ellwood Fire Department?
The Ellwood Volunteer Fire Department has been serving the Town of Tonawanda and its surrounding areas since 1921. This is only made possible by the dedication of our current members, some of whom have been active in the department for decades, and new members who are eager to learn and grow as firefighters.
New members of the Ellwood Fire Department are sworn in as probationary firefighters at the monthly company meeting, which takes place on the first Wednesday of each month. The members remain probationary members until the completion of both the first year of membership in the department and the completion of "Firefighter I," the introductory state fire training class.
If interested in joining the ranks of the Ellwood Fire Department please contact us by email at recruitment@ellwoodfd.org or stop by during a Wednesday night drill to talk to us at 7pm.
